Marco Roberto Borsato, born in Alkmaar on 21 December 1966, is a Dutch singer and actor. Borsato originally sang in Italian, but did not achieve his breakthrough until he switched to singing in Dutch in 1994. He is married to Leontine Ruiters and has three children.
