Rotterdam is the second largest municipality by population in the Netherlands and has the largest port in Europe. On May 14, 1940 the city is bombed by the Germans. The heart of the city was almost completely destroyed. In this song Frederique Spigt sings about the city which treasure is stolen. Rotterdam is the city without a heart.
