Frans Bauer - The New Anthem

Many Dutch complain about the current Dutch anthem, 'Het Wilhelmus'. The lyrics are difficult. People don't understand it. That was the reason for the VPRO, a Dutch broadcast company, to arrange an unofficial competition to write a new anthem. Frans Bauer, one of the most popular singers in the Netherlands, won this contest.
